About Me

cropped-profile

Lisa grew up the daughter of a single mother and diplomat, which means that she was often stationed overseas and moved frequently; she went to eight schools in eight years and can understand how hard it can be to find your place in the world. She then moved in with her single father and spent her high school years in the Sacramento area.  Lisa attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where she double majored in psychology and legal studies.  During undergrad, she interned at Juvenile Probation for Santa Cruz County and had a part-time job at the City of Santa Cruz police department.  After she graduated college she ended up working in retail management.  Lisa met her (now) husband and moved down to Las Vegas in 2005.  She continued to work in retail as a buyer.  When Lisa had her twin boys she chose to be a stay at home mom and focus on raising their children.

When the boys were old enough and in school full-time Lisa went to Graduate school to obtain her Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the School of Medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Fueled by her love of family and seeing first-hand the challenges and joys that come with being a parent and navigating a relationship Lisa wanted to help guide others on their journeys through life.  Lisa graduated in December 2018 and is now fully licensed. Lisa and her family enjoy traveling (especially by cruise ship!) and exploring the world and other cultures together; having taken trips to Europe, Japan, South America, the South Pacific, and more.  The perspective gained through travel helps Lisa remember to stay curious.
