Specializations
Lisa will work with you to sort through your relationship challenges, parenting challenges, and any personal challenges that you may be experiencing. Lisa specializes in working with individuals who struggle with depression and/or anxiety, grief and loss, challenges in relationships, challenges with parenthood, and challenges with communication. Lisa is Level 2 IFS trained and uses this model to guide healing. Additionally, Lisa also practices EMDR to help heal PTSD, sexual and emotional trauma, anxiety, and phobias.
Alongside her private practice, Lisa serves as a part-time instructor in the Couples and Family Therapy program at UNLV School of Medicine. Teaching keeps her connected to the next generation of therapists and gives her the opportunity to bring real, practical, in-the-room work into the classroom. Lisa focuses on helping students move beyond theory and actually understand what it looks like to sit with people, navigate relationships, and do meaningful, effective work.
Lisa also supervises students and state interns through their journey of becoming fully licensed clinicians using a real world lens, which is less about theory and more about what actually works when you are sitting across from someone to help bring change. Her goal is to help future therapists feel confident, grounded, and capable of doing honest, impactful work with individuals, couples, and families.
